These photographs are taken in Berlin's Alexanderplatz, capturing the impossible light produced by the surrounding architecture that lights passengers from all angles. The title of the pieces borrows from Fassbinder's Berlin Alexanderplatz, which Dena has included in past works such as You and You're People, as a narrative that explores the relationship between care and control in urban space. Going back to the source at Alexanderplatz, these photos capture relationships of care/control in a chaotic urban center.
